Sean Hockenbery
Executive Vice President

You’ve heard the hokey nautical analogies before, right? This department is a lifeboat, this person is the sails. Try to fit Sean into that comparison and it gets tricky. Rather mysteriously, he’s both the rudder and the wind. While he’s busy helping FMS stay on the right course, he’s also working (tirelessly, we might add) to propel us forward. And if we’re honest with this whole boat analogy, then he’s also the concept of buoyancy. See? Tricky.

So that’s what the FMS team loves about Sean. Clients appreciate his honesty. He’s flexible when appropriate, and yet he’s willing to take a stand when it comes to doing things the right way. Eyes on the prize. Communication lines open. That’s Sean’s M.O. We’re big fans. You will be, too.

3 things you
don’t know
about Sean.

  1. I was a competitive gymnast when I was younger and taught gymnastics to children when I was in college.
  2. I may have a touch of OCD when it comes to … well … most things—but my closet in particular. I have all of my shirts in order by color and they all face the same direction.
  3. I have a soft spot in my heart for 90s R&B music.

In His Own Words

Who is your hero?

My son, Jack.

What’s your favorite soft drink?

There’s nothing better than a cold can of Pepsi from the refrigerator with a glass full of ice. Although, I do have a hard time turning down Sunkist or Cheerwine.

What’s the greatest cereal ever made?

Reese's Puffs. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Pebbles, both Cocoa and Fruity, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

What do you collect? And why?

I have a collection of original Air Jordan shoes—just the ones from his playing days. I started collecting them when I was 10 or 11. They are awesome.

If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?

I would really have to stretch this out. I would start well before the meal with some chips and salsa. The meal would then start with a Caesar salad. The main course would be a very thick New York strip with steak fries, served with a nice Chianti. Dessert would be some form of rich, chocolate cake.
